The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) prohibits sending payslips via email due to the risks concerning personal data security. Employers must adopt secure communication methods to ensure the protection of employees'' personal data.
Since January 1st, 2017, it is no longer necessary, as it was before, to obtain the employee''s consent beforehand to digitize the payslip. The provision service must allow employees to retrieve their payslips at any time in a common electronic format, without complex or repetitive manipulation. If an employee refuses the digitization of their payslip, you can continue to print it for them in paper format. A specific field exists in Nicoka to easily identify the employees concerned.
